An award presented to Herb Doman by the Nanaimo Harbour Commission during the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Duke Point sawmill. The award recognizes the unidentified Doman Industries location as the first user of the Duke Point shipping terminal. The award consists of a wooden board decorated with the logo of the Port of Nanaimo, which depicts the outline of a lighthouse in front of three wavy horizontal lines representing ocean waves. A plaque bearing the dedication is fixed to the board below the logo.
