Description
An award presented by Grace McCarthy to Herb Doman in appreciation of his service as a member of the British Columbia Development Corporation. It consists of a wooden escutcheon fitted with a plaque with a dedication and a metal relief of the coat of arms of British Columbia. The British Columbia Development Corporation is a crown corporation founded in 1973 as a result of the Development Corporation of British Columbia Act. Grace McCarthy, born Grace Mary Winterbottom, was the former leader of the B.C. Social Credit Party and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CH.I.L.D. Foundation. She was born on October 14, 1927 and died on May 24, 2017.

Plaque reads: "Presented to Herb S. Doman in appreciation of his service to British Columbia as a member of the Board of Directors of British Columbia Development Corporation 30th March 1987 Honourable Grace M. McCarthy, Minister". Latin text on coat of arms reads "Splendor Sine Occasu", meaning "Splendour without diminishment".
