Description
Gurdial Singh Talhan's narrative discusses his work in lumber mills, the labour conditions of sawmill work, and sawmill unions. He discusses how most of the sawmill workers he worked with were also South Asian, but there were other workers from the Chinese, Japanese, and European White settler communities. He also speaks about the cost of living and how the prices for everyday items have increased and how he believes society has changed over time.
