Group photo at the 1950 Lady of the Lake beauty pageant in Lake Cowichan, B.C. 1949's pageant winner sits at the stern of a parade float decorated to resemble a boat, with Gurdev Hari, 1950's winner, seated in front of her. Opposite them sit 2 attendants. Each young woman is wearing a white gown with a corsage pinned on the right shoulder. The pageant winner's regalia is divided up between the two "Ladies". 1949's winner wears the crown and holds the scepter, while Hari wears the "Lady of the Lake" sash.
