Photo of Thakar Singh with one of his race horses outside a barn at the Brighouse Racetrack in Richmond, BC, circa 1940’s. Thakar Singh, knowing he was ill, asked Phangan Singh Gill to buy his horses and send the money to his family in India. So began Phangan Singh Gill’s love of Thoroughbred horses and racing.
