Description
Transcript of an interview with Gerrie Singh conducted by Patricia Mangat as part of the City of Surrey Archives' Indo-Canadian Oral History Collection. The interview consists of questions regarding Gerrie Singh's experiences immigrating to Canada from Holland and marrying Sarjit "Mac" Singh. She discusses her husband's education and working on his family's farm. The interview discusses community acceptance of inter-racial marriages during the 1960s, the South Asian contribution to Surrey's farms, and language barriers.
