Group photo of the winner of the 1954 Lady of the Lake pageant and her attendants seated in a car in Lake Cowichan, B.C. A large crowd is visible behind them. Further back, the edge of the town of Lake Cowichan gives way to forested hills and distant mountains. Each young woman is wearing a white gown with a corsage pinned to the right shoulder. The pageant winner, seated in the rear of the car, also has her regalia - a decorated crown, a scepter and a sash reading "Lady of the Lake". The car is decorated with paper streamers.
