Description
Sadhu Binning recalls how woodworkers would discuss the union together in mill bunkhouses and cookhouses. He talks about the racism faced by South Asian workers, who were the last to be hired and the first to be fired. Seeing such clear discrimination helped to build a strong appreciation for the IWA as an avenue for fighting back. This clip is from a full-length interview conducted by Dr. Anushay Malik on behalf of the BC Labour Heritage Centre's "Union Zindabad!" Project, 2021.
